31 gentles attended.
The meeting was called to order by Seneschal Lord Brice.

Baroness:
Baroness Catriona welcomed everyone and expressed her appreciation for those who took time from the event to attend.
Catriona reminded everyone that RUM, hosted by Brendoken, would be held March 25 in Smithville. She hoped that members from the Barony and other Northern Oaken groups would volunteer to teach classes. Thanks to Lady Claudia, the website for RUM is now up and running although the classes, which come from the RUM Regent, have not been added. Merchant space for the event is available. Anyone wishing to merchant should contact Lord Brice. A drawing for handmade items will be held during the day as a fund raiser for the Barony. Anyone wishing to donate period (or period-like) projects or services should contact Milica at milica@4th.com Catriona will be working
with Lady Ceit to organize donations for the lunch tavern which will also serve as a fund raiser. Requests for donations will go out shortly.

Baron:
His Excellency Alexander is working on organization of the Baronial encampment at Pennsic. He hopes to get the same site as last year or slightly north of that site. More information will be forthcoming when it is available. Alexander will also soon have more information on the shield and fencing projects which are still in discussion.

Chronicler:
THL Milica would like to have articles, officer letters, announcements etc. for the next issue of the Portcullis by February 23. She would also like to see submissions of education articles, photos, poetry etc. which will be used as space permits.

Minister of Arts & Sciences:
Lord Robert suggested that a project be undertaken to photograph scrolls given out by the Barony and post them on the website in order to showcase the work of the scribes. This could be accomplished either by scanning or digital photograph. Lady Claudia will post the images in a gallery. Lady Gauselin will keep track of which award scrolls have been given. Milica will check on which waivers need to be signed for the photos.

Webminister
Baroness Catriona would also like a list and photos of the baronial champions. She would also like an Order of Precedence for Baronial awards. Their Excellencies will provide a list and Baron Nigel will create a website for the O.P..
Zaliha bint Kizilik (formerly Claudia), Baronial Webminister, requests that officers check the listings on the website and contact her with corrections.

Exchequer:
Lady Bekea announced that the Barony needs money. She had a number of fund raising ideas which she shared with the group including:

    1. Best Seat in the House - A special comfortable seat in the front row of court would be raffled with the benefits going to the treasury. There was discussion about construction and storage of the seat. A vote was passed to look into the feasibility of the project.
    2. High Table - Discussion of raffling off a seat at Head Table. While this would bring in money, there was concern that it would cheapen the honor to those invited to sit at High Table. It was suggested that a special soteltie might be raffled instead.
    3. Haunted House - Some groups have made money hosting or staffing haunted houses during the Halloween Season. This would be for 4-5 weekends in the fall and would need 10-12 committed participants each weekend. Several people will look into this.

Baron Nigel:
His Excellency reminded the group that the next Baronial meeting would be held at Gwyntarian's Bardic Night. This
would be a social gathering for the Barony. Nigel will serve as Master of Ceremonies and anyone who would like to
perform should contact him. Baron Nigel passed out a flyer to share with the individual groups.

Baronial Champions Event:
Lord Caelinus and Lady Claudia have agreed to autocrat the baronial Champions Event in the fall. They need ideas for sites, especially those central to the Barony. The site would need to be large enough to accommodate archery. Anyone with suggestions for sites should share them with Caelinus and Claudia, as soon as possible since a site needs to be found before the event can be placed on the Kingdom calendar. It was suggested that outside marshals be used so that Brendoken's marshals could participate in the championships.

Rapier Unit:
Lord Antonio announced that a Brendoken Rapier Unit will be formed for Pennsic. The unit will have tabards to be donated by the unit.
There being no further business, the meeting was closed.

Respectfully submitted,
Milica of Varna
Chronicler, Barony of Brendoken
