Documentation Without Tears
A review of documentation and research, intended for use in Arts & Sciences projects. We will cover the various levels of documentation, the possibilities and pitfalls of each, and how to construct effective and efficient documentation for A+S Faires. Also covered will be a discussion on how to assess online sources.

Intro to Command, or "What do you mean I'm in charge?"
This class is geared for new commanders and those who are "promoted" in
battle, but all are welcome. Focus on how to command, rather than tactics
and strategy. Good for both Rattan and Rapier commanders.

Period Food Preservation Techniques
The class will present an overview of food preserving across northern Europe
during the late Middle Ages. Typical recipes are presented for many of the
techniques discussed. Period techniques are compared and contrasted to
modern methods.

A Rose By Any Other Name May Be Made Of Duct-Tape
I will sit and teach all who wish to learn the art and science of the duct-tape rose. It takes about 15 minutes and makes a basic rose. I will provide the duct-tape and sticks. Everyone will try their hand at it - all will leave with a rose, by my hand or theirs.

Soap 101 or Lady Aelfwyn's soap making basics
If you've never put lye to oils this is the class for you. We'll talk about some common
misconceptions about soap making, what you'll need to get started, how
you can develope your own recipes and I'll even hand out some resources
lists along with some simple recipes.

Soap 201 or What comes next
If you've taken 101 or just waded in and
have lots of experience and are wondering what next come on along to
Soap 201. We'll have a round table discussion about where we went with
our soap making, what we learned and where to go from here.

Tassels For You & Your Stuff
We will take a brief look at the
practical and decorative uses of tassels through
history. Students will make basic tassels of their
own to take home. Time permitting, we will try out
some more advanced techniques.
